Dan came to STM from a big family in St. Callistus parish. His younger brother was still in grade school when St. Tommy closed so he (and his four sisters) traveled to Chestnut Street and West Catholic. Dan excelled in running and was named to All-Catholic Cross-Country team three times, and the All-Catholic Track team twice.

He attended Temple for a year and then entered the printing business where he worked for Pear-Pressman-Liberty for 31 years.

Dan and his wife Maria have three children and live in Havertown. Dan has coached CYO track and cross country at St. Colman at Neumann.
