New Building at Villanova to Honor Rev. Driscoll, O.S.A.

When the College of Nursing moves to its new home this summer, it will be located in the new Driscoll Hall. The building will be named for Rev. John Driscoll, a 1940 STM grad who served as president of Villanova from 1975 to 1988. Father Driscoll had a significant impact on and a special connection to the College of Nursing. As Vice President for Academic Affairs at Villanova from 1965 to 1975, he facilitated the College’s move to St. Mary’s Hall. As President, he oversaw the approval and accreditation of the Masters Program in Nursing, and the founding of The Nursing Alumni Society.

Driscoll Hall will provide the College with a first-class educational facility in the heart of campus that will serve as an inspirational setting for Villanova’s nursing students, faculty, and staff.

  Rev. John Driscoll
Our apologies to Father Driscoll for printing the incorrect photo in the last issue of Bear Tracks. We mistakenly showed Father Duffey in the newsletter, but this is the photograph of Father Driscoll that should have appeared.
